I think that GRIPES has taken the time to create an intelligent and well researched argument to address the student side problems of the Core Curriculum changes. I believe that the CORE is essential to a well-rounded education and should be respected and improved to fit the current diversity of the student body. By requiring a CORE curriculum the University shows it committment to educate our future leaders. I also believe that the proposal by the students should be given equal consideration by the committee and a favorable compromise should be reached that would enable both ends of the spectrum to feel satisfaction. Perhaps a "mingling" of the two proposals would best suit the situation in the long run.
